Additional members can be added to committees if necessary.

The council draws on the resources and skills of the council members to organise and support events during the school year, which include: - 

• Organisation of Mock Interviews for the Leaving Certificate students. 
• School Show supervision and help on the nights of the show. 
• Talks on Supporting and Surviving Adolescence. 
• Information night on Parent to Parent courses. 
• Table Quiz in aid of the Bursary fund. 
• College night- CAO and other courses, form filling and information. 
• Admissions Policy 
• Support at the Parent Teacher Days 
• A Talk on Health Awareness. 
• Talk on Drug Awareness and Education. 
• Drug and Substance Abuse Policy night. 
• Graduation Mass and refreshments. 
• The final event of this year was the very successful Play and Question and Answer session on Drug Awareness held in conjunction with the Gallowglass Theatre and the Transition Year students on the 13 th May 2004.
