Ardscoil na mBráithre has a clearly set out Code of Behaviour for students to ensure the efficient and effective running of the school, and to create an environment that encourages our students to develop their skills, talents and personalities in a well ordered and congenial atmosphere.
Our Code of Behaviour aims to motivate and rehabilitate and seeks to inform and involve parents/guardians in all aspects of their sons' development and progress. We see parents as the primary educators and we seek their help and offer them advice as the need arises.
The School Rules are detailed in the leaflet entitled "Behaviour Code for Students", a copy of which is given to all parents at the First Year Enrolment Meeting. These roles are outlined and explained fully to parents at this meeting and they are expected to discuss them with their sons. All parents/guardians sign a contract to support the management and staff in the implementation of these roles.
The Code of Behaviour is discussed regularly with students (in all years) by the Principal, Deputy Principal, Assistant Principals and Class Teachers. We expect that senior students will have reached a good level of self - direction and discipline. |
