We’re here to support every student as you navigate school life, plan for your future, and look after your wellbeing. Whether you’re choosing subjects, exploring career options, feeling stressed, or just need someone to talk to, the Guidance Counsellors are here to help.
π± What We Do – Guidance Counselling at CBS High School, Clonmel
The Guidance Department aims to create a safe, caring, and supportive space for all students. We’re here to help you make informed choices in your personal, social, educational, and career journey — from First Year right through to Sixth Year.
We work with students in many different ways, always matching the support to your age and stage of development.

You might meet the Guidance Counsellor through:

Support with applications for college, apprenticeships, grants, accommodation, and scholarships

Subject choice guidance for Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle

Psychometric testing, like aptitude or career interest assessments

Our conversations are private. We only share information if someone is at risk of harm or if required by child protection guidelines. Your safety and trust matter.
